Up for a game of outdoor hockey?
Join us Wednesday February 24th as Burton Snowboards presents
Hockey Night in Collingwood. Yes; come on out to the outdoor
rink behind the YMCA in Collingwood for a fun game with your
fellow snowsports industry peers. This is the evening of our
first day of the Ontario Trade Demo Days at Craigleith.
The ice is booked for 6.00pm to 7.00pm. Bring your skates,
helmet, gloves and stick. It’s not a full equipment game; just a
game for laughs but the winning team will win the prestigious
Burton Puck!
Then join us for beers at the Burton Showroom down the street
after the game.

The Sport Lifestyle Clothing Preview has now added Swix and
Belowzero Snowboard Apparel to its list of brands participating.
The event is scheduled for November 25th and 26th at La
Primavera in Vaughan, ON.
Last week The Clothing Preview added Canada Goose to its list of
brands participating, bringing the event even closer to its goal
of providing Buyers a meaningful assortment of apparel brands
that they can preview, book and benefit from early booking
discounts and delivery guarantees. More brands are still
expected to be participating once samples are confirmed to be
available for the event.
Swix and Belowzero Snowboard Apparel join Canada Goose, Lole,
Outdoor Research, Ex-Officio, Obermeyer, Scott, Laundromat,
Chinook CTO, Isis For Women and others, all who will be showing their Fall 2010 and Winter
2011 sports and outdoor lifestyle clothing collections to
Buyers.
This event will offer buyers a more private, intimate and
relaxed environment with which to spend time previewing these
brands. The hall will be arranged in more separate areas for
Buyers to more privately preview lines. Complimentary lunch for
all registered participants will also be served both days.
Special hotel room rates have been negotiated at the Holiday Inn
Express, Vaughan for this event and the special rate is
available for most of that week for those that will be in town
for other events and Rep presentations.

Podium Media Group today announced
it will partner with Get Out There Magazine to add a “trade”
element to the Magazine’s new event, NordicFest taking place
February 6th 2010 at Scenic Caves Winter Adventures in the Town
of Blue Mountains near Collingwood, ON. The event was initially
conceived to appeal to athletic, outdoor snow sport enthusiasts
but has since evolved into an opportunity for the trade, too.
NordicFest will now also serve as a 2011 season XC ski and
snowshoe new product introduction and demo opportunity for
specialty retail buyers from across the province to assist them
in make buying decisions during the booking season.
Since the announcement, the event has already received
commitments from Salomon XC and GV Snowshoes to participate and
interest from Reps of the other brands in these two categories.
By February 6th it is expected that NordicFest will be the go-to
event for retail buyers to try and buy XC ski and snowshoe
product in preparation for the 2011 retail selling season.
Special discounted passes for buyers to demo product on the
spectacular Scenic Caves trails and property are just $10.00 at
NordicFest and the first 75 buyers pre-registering to attend
will also receive a special NordicFest goody bag.
